- Pressure regulators and upstream protection: gauges, strainers, sediment traps
- Safety shut-off valves, including proof-of-closure capability
- Low and high gas pressure switches
- Overall NFPA compliance of the gas train configuration
- Sediment, zinc flake, and debris accumulation inside piping and components
Common Problems We Find
- Galvanized supply piping shedding zinc flake into safety shut-off valves and regulators, causing nuisance shutdowns and slow-motion component failure
- Missing proof-of-closure shut-off valves and low gas pressure switches that current NFPA requirements call for
- Regulators that drift or need constant rebuilds because of upstream debris
- No strainer or gauge upstream of the regulator, so supply-side problems appear as unexplained burner trips

- Clean gas piping from the supply regulator to the burner tee
- Replace galvanized supply pipe with black steel
- Install upstream pressure gauge and Y-strainer
