Choosing the Right Technology
The right unit depends on the stream, not the catalog. Here is how we think about it.
Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO)
Best for large, steady air volumes with low solvent concentrations: paint and coating lines, printing, converting, and chemical processing. Ceramic media recovers most of the heat, so fuel cost stays low once the unit is at temperature.
Direct-Fired Thermal Oxidizer
Best for smaller or richer streams, and for waste gases that would foul heat recovery media. Simple, robust, and fast to start.
Enclosed Vapor Combustor
Best for tank vapors, loading operations, and intermittent or variable flows. The flame is fully enclosed, there is no visible flare, and the unit runs unattended.
Flare
Best for emergency relief and high, short-duration flows where destruction, not heat recovery, is the goal.
Carbon Bed
Best for low concentrations and odor control where combustion is not practical.
